Dear Frank and Ann,

 

Something terrible happened to Bella last Saturday.  She was on the beach and was digging near a palm tree.  The tree must have been treated w/ pesticides or chemical fertilizers.  I had an autopsy done and they found she had poison in her blood and stomach.  I am so sad right now and even ashamed to tell you because I promised to give her a loving home and take care of her all her life.  I truly loved Bella with all my heart and am so sad and empty without her.  She brought so much joy to my life and to everyone she met.  I am so sorry to have to tell you this and so sorry I didn't prevent this.  There were no signs or anything.  She loved the beach so much.  She was the most amazing thing in my life and I miss her terribly.  Thank you for allowing me to have her in my life even if it was for so short.  I'm sorry.
